AutoRouter Home of the
The new AutoRouter Automatic Stair Router The AutoRouter automatically dadoes a pair of box or open-one-side stair stringers for treads and risers. As each tread/riser rout is finished, the machine advances the stringers for another pass. The pattern repeats until the stringer ends pass through the machine, signalling the automatic shut-off.

“What’s so great about the AutoRouter?”
Heavy Duty Construction
The frame is built from 3”x4” tubular steel, claiming a 9’x5’ footprint, not including conveyors. Plate steel parts are ½”; bearings and races are large and heavy. These qualities equate to long life, and true, consistent operation.
High Frequency Routers
These three-phase, no maintenance motors provide long life, and may never require replacement. Also, spindle speed stays constant, regardless of load, so machine cycle speed is uneffected.
Fence & Horizontal Clamps Move Together
During routing, the stringers are clamped against a 6’ fence. Between each cycle, these clamps and the fence move together to advance the stringers to the next tread/riser location. Stringers won’t slip.
Router Arm Cylinders Connected to Template
The cap ends of the arm cylinders attach to the template, NOT the machine frame, resulting in constant arm speed regardless of template angle.
Arm is Template-Guided
The router arm follows a heavy steel template to determine the shape of the rout. This simple mechanical assembly contains no moving parts. Set-up is quick and easy.
Electronic Control
Machine motions are powered by large pneumatic and hydraulic cylinders, but it’s controlled by a programmable logic controller, not pneumatic logic. The result is reliable operation and simple diagnostics.
Thorough Guarding
Metal guards protect operators from pinch points and cutters. If guards are out of place or removed, machine shuts down.
Dust Collection
Vacuum draws from around both cutters. Collection hoods also help to prevent projectile wood chips.
