STAIR CLAMP

Assemble box stairs quickly and comfortably without bar clamps or jigs.  Operator stands stringers on edge in the machine, then inserts treads and risers.  Once all parts are in place, pneumatic clamp arms seat the treads and risers in the stringer dadoes.  The staircase is now ready to accept wedges, blocks, fasteners, and adhesive.  The Stair Clamp also features quick adjustment for staircase width from 24” to 50”.

WEDGE CUTTER

Prepare stair wedges quickly and safely with PMW’s automatic Wedge Cutter.  The Wedge Cutter slices wedges from square blocks loaded into a hopper, then deposits the wedges in a bin while the operator attends to other shop tasks.  Production rate is about 25 pieces/minute.  The blade and clamps are enclosed and inaccessible to the operator without de-energizing the machine.  Besides relieving a worker from a dangerous repetitive task, the Wedge Cutter allows recycling of otherwise unusable material.  Dust collection hardware is standard; a vacuum is optional.
